LALMONIRHAT, Dec 28, 2020 (BSS) – Freedom fighters and meritorious
students were given a reception today at the defunct Banshapchai
enclave under sadar upazila in the district.
On the occasion, personal protective equipment for COVID-19 was
distributed among 300 people, stipends were given to 180 students and
winter clothes were distributed among 500 people.
Deputy Commissioner Abu Jafar was present as the chief guest while
Superintendent of Police Abida Sultana as special guest.
Advocate Md. Matiar Rahman, Chairman of Lalmonirhat Zila Parishad
and General Secretary of the district unit of Awami League, presided
over function.
District Education Officer Abul Kalam Azad, Sadar Upazila Nirbahi
Officer Uttam Kumar Roy and FF Mezbah Uddin Ahmed spoke, among others.
