President mourns death of FF Abdul Wahab Ainuddin
DHAKA, Dec 25, 2020 (BSS) – President M Abdul Hamid today expressed
deep shock and sorrow at the death of freedom fighter Abdul Wahab
Ainuddin, former upazila chairman of Katiadi Upazila of Kishoreganj
and also upazila Awami League general secretary.
In a condolence message, President Hamid recalled the contribution
of Ainuddin with due respect to the Freedom Struggle and the War of
Liberation in 1971.
He said, “Late Ainuddin was a brave freedom fighter . . . His
contribution to organizing the Awami League locally during the then
crucial time was highly commendable.”
The head of the state prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul
and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
A confirmed bachelor Ainuddin breathed his last at 9.50 pm at the
Combined Military Hospital (CMH) here at 66.
