Hasan condoles death of Jahangir Hossain
DHAKA, Dec 24, 2020 (BSS) – Information Minister and Awami League (AL) Joint General Secretary Dr Hasan Mahmud today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of AL Central Working Committee member and former state minister as well as lawmaker AKM Jahangir Hossain.
In a condolence message, the minister said, Jahangir’s contributions to the party’s struggle and movement during the crisis periods and establishing the ideology of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman will be remembered forever.
Hasan prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Jahangir Hossain, also former general secretary of Bangladesh Chhatra League, passed away today while undergoing treatment at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University Hospital (BSMMU) in the city at the age of 66.
