CHATTOGRAM, Dec 20, 2020 (BSS) – Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud suggested taking the Bay-Terminal project forward as fast tech project as it will lessen pressure on the Chattogram port.

“Bay-Terminal should be taken forward as fast tech project as this will reduce the pressure on the Chattogram port. The second is to build a port under the bay terminal,” Dr Hasan virtually said as the chief guest in the meeting of the 14th advisory committee of Chattogram Port held at Shaheed Munshi Fazlur Rahman Auditorium here this afternoon.

Dr Hasan said, “Bangabandhu Shilpo Nagar, located 45 km away from the Bay Terminal, is becoming an industrial city. So, there is a need for constructing another port in the middle of the industrial city.”
