Two women killed in city road mishaps
DHAKA, Dec 18, 2020 (BSS) – Two unidentified women were killed in
separate road accidents in the capital on Thursday.
Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) Police Camp Assistant
Sub-Inspector (ASI) Abdul Khan confirmed the incidents to BSS today.
The accidents took place around midnight on Thursday in front of
the High Court of Shahbagh Police Station and on the slope of Zillur
Rahman Flyover of Cantonment Police Station.
Dhaka Metropolitan Police (DMP) Shahbagh Police Station
sub-inspector (SI) Md Mansur Ahmed said an unidentified woman aged 35
was killed when she was hit by a car in front of the main gate of the
capital’s High Court area at midnight on Thursday last.
Being tipped off, Shahbagh police rushed to the spot and recovered
the body of the woman with the clad of black borkha and a red veil.
Later, the body was sent to the DMCH morgue for autopsy.
While Officer-in-Charge of Cantonment Police Station Qazi Sahan
Haque confirmed another incident to BSS saying that a 25-year-old
unidentified woman was killed on the spot when she was hit by a
vehicle on the slope of Zillur Rahman Flyover Bridge of Cantonment
Police Station area around 8:45 pm on Thursday.
Police recovered the body and sent it to the DMCH morgue for autopsy.
