DHAKA, Dec 7, 2020 (BSS) – Bangladesh Administrative Service Association (BASA) today demanded immediate arrest and exemplary punishment for the culprits involved in vandalising the sculpture of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
BASA, an organisation of Bangladesh Civil Service (Administration cadre), in a statement, strongly protested and condemned the incident terming its (incident of vandalism) a blow to the consciousness, spirit and existence of all levels officials and employees of the public administration.
A group of miscreants vandalised the under-construction Bangabandhu’s sculpture in Kushtia on December 5 night.
BASA president Helaluddin Ahmed and secretary general Sheikh Yusuf Harun signed the statement.
