‘Mujib Year cycling expedition’ reaches Teknaf

DHAKA, Dec 1, 2020 (BSS) – On the occasion of the birth centenary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, the ‘Mujib Borsha Cycling Expedition-2020′ today reached Shah Porir Dwip at Teknaf under the overall supervision of Bangladesh Army.

The concluding ceremony will be held at Cox’s Bazar Ramu Cantonmenton December 3, said a press release.

One hundred members of the Bangladesh Army started the journey of 1010 km from Banglabandha in Tetulia on November 8 with indomitable strength and courage.

It may be mentioned that to commemorate the birth centenary of Bangabandhu, the government has decided to celebrate the period from March 17, 2020 to March 26, 2021 as ‘Mujib Year’.

In its continuation, an adventurous attempt was made to travel a long distance by bicycle from Tetulia to Teknaf.

At the same time, to glorify the spirit of Liberation War, this invincible cycling expedition of 71 cyclists will always keep going.

The main objective of the expedition is to invigorate the whole of Bangladesh in the light of the flame of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman by celebrating his birth centenary.
