Minister, state ministers mourn death of Sramik League PresidentMontu
DHAKA, Nov 20, 2020 (BSS) – Cabinet members today expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of valiant Freedom Fighter and National Sramik League President Fazlul Haq Montu, according to a Press Information Department (PID) release.
Members of the cabinet including Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haq, Road Transport and Bridges Minister Obaidul Quader, Agriculture Minister Dr Muhammad Abdur Razzaque, Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud, Planning Minister MA Mannan, Industries Minister Nurul Majid Mahmud Humayun, Foods Minister Sadhan Chandra Majumder, Commerce Minister Tipu Munshi and Fisheries and Livestock Minister SM Rezaul Karim, Science and Technology Minister Architect Yeafes Osman and Land Minister Saifuzzaman Chowdhury issued separate condolence messages and prayed for eternal peace of the departed soul and conveyed deep sympathy to the bereaved family.
Besides, State Minister for Youth and Sports Md Zahid Ahsan Russel, State Minister for Labour and Employment Monnujan Sufian, State Minister for Shipping Khalid Mahmood Chowdhury, State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Zunaid Ahmed Palak, State Minister for Cultural KM Khalid, State Minister for Civil Aviation and Tourism Md Mahbub Ali and State Minister for Women and Children FazilatunNesa Indira also issued separate condolence messages and expressed their deep shock.
Earlier, Fazlul Haq Montu died at a city hospital in the morning at the age of 71.
He left behind wife, a son, a daughter and a host of relatives and admirers to mourn his death.
