Dhaka City South AL’s full committee announced
DHAKA, Nov 19, 2020 (BSS) – A 73-member full-fledged committee of
Dhaka City South unit of Awami League has been announced today through
a letter signed by Awami League General Secretary Obaidul Quader.
Abu Ahmed Mannafi and Humayun Kabir were elected president and
general secretary respectively in the council to the Dhaka City South
unit of AL on December 4, 2019.
The committee contains 11 vice-presidents, three joint general
secretaries and equal number of organizing secretaries, 23 secretaries
and 36 members. A total of 27 persons were made advisory council
members.
Nurul Amin Ruhul, Dr Dilip Kumar Roy, Shahid Sherniyabat, Haji Md
Sahid, Khandker Enayet Ullah, Mijbahur Rahman Bhuiyan Ratan, Abdus
Sattar Masud, Sajeda Begum, Awlad Hossain, Sharfuddin Ahmed Sentu and
Hedayetul Islam Swapan were made vice-presidents.
Joint general secretaries are: Kazi Morshed Hossain Kamal, Md Miraj
Hossain and Mohiuddin Ahmed Mohi, while organizing secretaries are:
Golam Ashraf Talukder, Md Akhter Hossain and Golam Sarwar Kabir.
Advocate Jaglul Kabir is made legal affairs secretary, agriculture
and cooperatives secretary Abdur Rahman, information and research
secretary Anis Ahmed, relief and social welfare secretary Sheikh Md
Ajhar, office secretary Riaz Uddin Riaz, religious affairs secretary
Md Ismail Hossain, publicity and publications secretary Chowdhury
Saifunnabi Sagar, forest and environment secretary Nayeem Noman,
science and technology secretary MF Shariful Islam, women affairs
secretary Advocate Tahmina Sultana, liberation war affairs secretary
Mozammel Hossain Helal, youth and sports secretary Saidul Islam Khan,
education and human resources secretary SK Badal, industries and
commerce secretary Md Nasir, labour secretary Abul Kalam Azad,
cultural affairs secretary Abdul Matin Bhuiyan and health and
population secretary Dr Nazrul Islam.
Md Ariful Islam was made deputy office secretary and Md Asaduzzaman
Asad deputy publicity and publications secretary.
Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh (mayor of Dhaka South City
Corporation), Shahe Alam Murad, Abul Bashar, Salauddin Badal, SM
Shahidul Islam Milon, Ashraf Islam Maruf, Golam Rabbani, Saiful Islam
(Masud Serniyabat), Md Mujibur Rahman and Mohaiman Bayan are among the
36 executive members.
Abdul Huq Sabuj, Haji Selim, Kamal Chowdhury, Advocate Md Forkan
Miah, Sheikh Raisul Alam Moina, Advocate Jahanara Begum Rozy, Mohammed
Fazle Rafiq, Minaj Uddin Mintu and Mahbubur Rahman Alijan were among
the 27-member advisory council.
