Summit-JERA donates ambulance to SKMCB general hospital

DHAKA, Nov 19, 2020 (BSS) – Summit and its partner JERA, the largest independent power producer in Japan, donated an ambulance with high-flow nasal oxygen equipment to Siraj-Khaleda Memorial Cantonment Board ((SKMCB) General Hospital.

On behalf of the hospital, Major General Md Moshfequr Rahman, area commander of Log Area, received the gift, said a press release received here today.

Awami League Presidium Member and former Minister Lieutenant Colonel ((retd) Muhammad Faruk Khan, MP, thanked the Summit and JERA for the gift.

Station commander Brigadier General Md Selim Mahmud, director admin of SKMCB General Hospital Lt Col Ahmed Daniel Islam, and Cantonment executive officer Mohammed Golam Kibria were also present at the event.

The board of trustees also excused rents of the specialised doctors’ chambers between March and September 2020. It also appointed personnel, officiated disbursement of fees, and agreed on implementing measures to improve hospital services.

Earlier on May 13 in 2012, Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina inaugurated the Siraj-Khaleda Memorial Cantonment Board General Hospital situated in Dhaka Cantonment area.

The construction of the hospital building was financed by the Siraj-Khaleda Trust, an organisational foundation of Summit Group.
