17,012 Panchagarh flood-hit farmers to get agri-inputs

PANCHAGARH, Sept, 19, 2017 (BSS) – A total of 17,012 farmers will get various agri-inputs to recover their losses caused by recent flood in all five upazilas of the district.

Local officials at Department of Agricultural Extension (DAE) said the government has allocated Taka 2, 03, 27000 for 17,012 flood affected farmers here.

As part of government’s post-flood agri-rehabilitation incentives, 6750 farmers will get 2-kgs of maize seeds , 20-kgs DAP and 10-kgs MOP fertilizers for one bigha of land while 6750 farmers will get 20-kgs of wheat seeds, 20- kgs DAP and 10-kgs MOP fertilizers for one bigha of land.

Besides 3,512 farmers will get necessary agri-seeds and fertilizers.

Deputy Director of Panchagarh DAE Md Samchul Huque told BSS today they have been distributing different agri-inputs among flood-affected farmers in the district.
