DHAKA, July 6, 2018 (BSS) – A seven-member China Railway International Group (CRIG) delegation led by its chairman Gan Baixian today called on Posts, Telecommunications and ICT Minister Mustafa Jabbar at latter’s
Agargaon office here in the capital.
During the meeting, they discussed implementation of Establishing Digital Connectivity (EDC) project and progress of third phase of Info-Sarker project.
CRIG is supplying machineries including optical fiber cable, dense wave division multiplexing, switch and router for the aforesaid projects. The Chinese company has also expressed interest to supply machineries and provide
technical assistance to EDC Project adopted by our government to reach digital connectivity till villages.
CRIG vice president Wang Lije, Bangladesh Computer Council executive director Partha Protim Deb, ICT Division director general AKM Khairul Alam, project director of Info-Sarker Phase-3 Bikarna Kumar Ghosh, were present on
the occasion, among others.
