DHAKA, Nov 11, 2020 (BSS) – Fast bowler Mashrafe Bin Mortaza will be available to take part in the Bangabandhu T20 Cup if he recovers fully from the injury, said chief selector Minhajul Abedin Nannu.
Mashrafe is not placed in the Player Draft for the tournament, which will be held tomorrow (Thursday). The lanky fast bowler, who didn’t play any cricket after stepping down as Bangladesh ODI captain in March sustained a hamstring injury last month during an individual training session.
He then quarantined himself as his son and daughter were diagnosed with coronavirus.
“He sustained a hamstring injury which is why he is not in the draft list,” Minhajul said here today.
“Hopefully he will recover from the injury within the first week of December. He then can be available for the tournament. If any team wants him, they can recruit him,” he added.
