Two brothers killed in Bhaluka road accident
DHAKA, Nov 9, 2020 (BSS) – Two siblings were killed in a road accident in Bhaluka upazila of Mymensingh early on Monday.
The deceased were identified as- Moniruzzaman, 33, and Jubaidul Islam, 30, sons of Noor Islam of Sherpur Sadar Upazila.
Police said the accident occurred when a pick-up van hit a truck from behind in Dhali crossing area at Seed Store Bazar on the Dhaka-Mymensingh highway around 3:30am, leaving three pick-up passengers critically injured.
They were rushed to the upazila health complex, where the two brothers were declared dead by duty doctors.
Assistant Sub-Inspector of Bhaluka Highway Police Akhtaruzzaman said police seized the pickup van from the spot but the driver managed to flee away.
