DNCC finds Aedes mosquito larvae at 92 establishments, fines Tk 1.89 lakh
DHAKA, Nov 5, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) today found Aedes mosquito larvae at 92 establishments and fined around Taka 1.89 lakh in 17 cases to the owners of the establishments.
The DNCC mobile court fined the owners on the fourth day of a 10-day combing operation to destroy breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes for protecting city dwellers from the menace, said a press release.
The DNCC team visited some 13,515 houses and establishments during the drive while stagnant water was found at 8,340 houses and establishments.
The drive was conducted between 9am and 12 noon simultaneously at all 54 wards under the DNCC area.
The drive will be conducted from 9am to 12 noon every day by dividing a ward into ten sectors and a sector into 10 sub-sectors.
