JAMALPUR, November 5,2020 (BSS)- District Administration in celebration of the Mujib year will plant one lakh fruit trees in the district.
Deputy Commissioner, Md Enamul Haque inaugurated the programme by planting fruit saplings on its office premises today.
District Administration sources said the fruit saplings will be planted on the abandoned and empty places of various government offices, educational institutes and beside the roads.
Nearly 56 various fruit trees including mango, litchi, guava and malta were planted on the office compound in the inaugural day.
Deputy Director, Md Kabir Uddin, Addition Deputy Commissioner (Gen) Md Moklesur Rahman, Additional District Magistrate, Md Rafiqul Islam and Additional Deputy Commissioner (Rev) Md Shafiqul Islam were present.
