DNCC finds Aedes mosquito larvae at 94 houses, fines 16
DHAKA, Nov 2, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka North City Corporation (DNCC) today found Aedes mosquito larvae at 94 houses and establishments and fined owners of 16 houses and establishments.
The DNCC mobile court fined the owners of 16 houses Taka 2.90 lakh and warned others on the first day of a 10-day of combing operation to destroy breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes for protecting city dwellers from the menace, said a press release.
The DNCC team visited some 13,825 houses and establishments during the drive while stagnant water was found at 8,713 houses and establishments.
The drive was conducted between 9am and 12 noon simultaneously at all 54 wards under the DNCC area.
The drive will be conducted from 9am to 12 noon every day by dividing a ward into ten sectors and a sector into 10 sub-sectors.
