Factory worker electrocuted in city
DHAKA, Oct 26, 2020 (BSS) – A worker electrocuted this evening while working at a factory in capital’s Jatrabari area.
Inspector of Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) police outpost Md Bachchu Mia told BSS that the deceased was identified as Md Ahsan Ullah,27, son of Habib Ullah of Nazir Nagar village in Senbagh upazila of Noakhali district.
He said the victim used to live in a rented house in Qutub Khali area with his wife and two children.
Deceased relative Saddam Hussein said Ahsan came into contact with electricity while making furniture by welding with metal in a factory in Qutub Khali area.
Co-workers rescued him unconsciousness state and rushed him to DMCH, where doctors declared him dead at 8:30 pm, he added.
Hospital source said the body has been kept in the hospital morgue for autopsy.
