DHAKA, Oct 22, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Murad
Hasan today said those who are conspiring to change the government
without standing by the coronavirus victims cannot be the friend of
people.
“Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is working relentlessly to overcome
the crisis . . . but a quarter is hatching conspiracy to change her
government even at the time of Corona,” he told a discussion at the
Jatiya Press Club here.
The state minister added: “They (anti-government plotters) are
really careless. They cannot be friends of people. Mass people have
rejected them and it will continue.”
The “Janatar Prottashya” organized the programme followed by the
special doa-munajat for the early recovery of ailing Information
Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud and Planning Minister M A Mannan.
Deputy Minister for Water Resources Enamul Haque Shameem, Nurul Amin
Ruhul, MP, Akram Hossain, Humayun Kabir and SM Shariful Islam and Arun
Sarkar Rana, among others, took part in the programme. MA Karm
presided over the programme.
Referring to the economic progress even in the ongoing COVID-19
crisis, Murad said the country’s economy is moving towards the right
direction due to the timely steps of the incumbent government.
Various sectors, including country’s export, trade and foreign
exchange reserves are still witnessing positive trend due to pragmatic
steps undertaken by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.
The state minister urged everyone to adhere to social distance and
health norms in tackling the upcoming second wave of COVID-19 fatal
disease.
