Tofail Ahmed’s 78th birthday celebrated
BHOLA, Oct 22, 2020 (BSS) – The 78th birthday of veteran politician and Awami League Advisory Council member Tofail Ahmed was celebrated today through various programmes.
The district Awami League organized a discussion meeting and doa mahfil at the Sadar Upazila Hall room at 12 noon today.
Leaders and activists of Awami League and various organizations participated at the meeting.
Taking part at the meeting through online, Tofail Ahmed said, “My life is blessed, as I had received the love and affection of our great leader Bangabandhu.”
During the virtual meeting, Tofail shared various memorable moments of his life with Bangabandhu.
Tofail was born in Bhola on October 22, 1943. Late Moulovi Azhar Ali is his father and Late Fatema Khanam is his mother. He is the fifth among his three brothers and four sisters.
Tofail Ahmed is one of the most influential and renowned political leaders in the history of Bangladesh and an ideal follower of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman. Tofail Ahmed is one of the organizers of the Liberation War of 1971.
Among others, General Secretary of Zila Awami League Abdul Momin Tulu, President of upazila Awami League Md. Mosharrof Hossain and Organizing Secretary of Zila Awami League Moinul Hossain Biplob took part in the discussion with vice-president of zila Awami League Dosto Mahmud in the chair.
