DU VC greets Hindu community on Durga Puja
DHAKA, Oct 22, 2020 (BSS) – Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Dhaka University (DU) Dr Md Akhtaruzzaman today felicitated the Hindu community on the occasion of the Durga Puja.
In the message, the DU VC said the main religious festival of the Bangalee Hindu community is the Durga Puja and destruction of evil spirits and the worship of truth and beauty are the main features of the festival which has now turned into a universal festival for the whole human being.
He emphasized on celebrating the Durgotshob maintaining the health guidelines and social distancing as the global pandemic coronavirus has pushed the whole world into an uncertainty.
Marking the Sharadiya Durgotsab, Akhtaruzzaman wished peace, welfare and prosperity for all, including the Hindu community, of the country.
