‘Hasumonir Pathshala’ introduces Sheikh Russel virtual gallery

DHAKA, Oct 18, 2020 (BSS) – Hasumonir Pathshala introduced a virtual gallery named ‘Sheikh Russell virtual gallery’ marking the 56th birth anniversary of the youngest son of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.

Former Vice-Chancellor (VC) of Dhaka University Dr AAMS Arefin Siddique inaugurated the gallery as the chief guest at Nalini Kanto Bhattasali Gallery of Bangladesh National Museum here today.

Hasumonir Pathshala organised a round table discussion following the book of Prime Minister on Shaheed Russel titled ‘Amader Choto Russel Sona’ (Our little Russel).

In the program, they also distributed prizes among the winners of an art competition titled ‘Ako Tomar Shopno’ (Draw Your Dream) which was organised marking the 73rd birth anniversary of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina.

State Minister for Housing and Public Works Sharif Ahmed, Deputy Minister for Water Resources AKM Enamul Hoque Shameem addressed the function as special guests with Pathshala’s founder and AL Central Committee Member Marufa Akhter Poppy in the chair.

Information Minister Dr Hasan Mahmud extended his gratitude to the little artists and the organizers by his Public Relation Officer Mir Akram Uddin as the minister could not attend the meeting due to his sickness.

Dean of DU fine arts faculty Professor Nisar Hossain, Principal of Viqarunnisa Noon School and College (VNSC) Prof Fouzia Rezwan, President of Jubo Mohila League Nazma Akhter and Chairman of television and film department of Jagannath University Junaid Ahmed Halim, among others, attended the programme.
