New BKF president meets State Minister for Sports
DHAKA, Oct 15, 2020 (BSS) – The Bangladesh Kabaddi Federation (BKF) newly appointed president and also the Director General of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB) Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun made a courtesy call to State Minister for Youth and Sports Mohammad Zahid Ahsan Russell MP at secretariat office today, said a Ministry of Youth and Sports Press release.
During the courtesy call, the State Minister welcomed the BKF president. He also hoped that Kabaddi would wake up again in all the districts across the country under the active leadership of the new BKF president and the BKF with this aim would take necessary steps in this regard.
The State Minister said the Youth and Sports Ministry would provide all kinds of support to BKF for the development of Kabaddi and hoped that the national game Kabaddi would get back it’s lost glory in the joint effort of all.
Russell also wished all success of the new BKF president.
High-ups of the Ministry of Youth and Sports, BKF general secretary and Bangladesh Police Dhaka Range Deputy Inspector General Habibur Rahman were also present on the occasion.
It can be mentioned that the National Sports Council issued a notification on September 21 last by appointing RAB Director General Chowdhury Abdullah Al-Mamun as President of BKF.
