Minor child electrocuted in city
DHAKA, Oct 9, 2020 (BSS) – A minor child was electrocuted in city’s
Hazaribag area this evening, police and hospital sources said.
Inspector Mohammad Bachchu Mia, police camp in-charge (inspector) of
Dhaka Medical College and Hospital (DMCH) confirmed the matter.
He said the victim was Meem, 8, daughter of Md Motaleb Miah of
Boxiganj upazila of Jamalpur district.
Meem’s mother Khaleda Begum told BSS that her daughter was found
unconscious state as she got touch with electrical earthing of their
tin-made fence house in Zhauchar area this evening.
Meem was rushed to the DMCH where doctors declared her dead.
The officer-in-charge (OC) of Hazaribag police station Mohamamd
Sajedur Rahamn told BSS that they are yet to get information till
filing of the report around 9 pm.
