“CMSMEs Mentorship Program” launched at DU

DHAKA, Oct 09, 2020 (BSS) – As part of providing expert insights and expertise to CMSMEs on their various business’ challenges and growth opportunities, the Innovation, Creativity, and Entrepreneurship (ICE) Center launched “CMSMEs Mentorship Program” under the REVIVE project on Thursday.

The mentorship program will be virtual and CMSMEs will get the opportunity to interact with experts from government, industries, academicians, and other relevant stakeholders and receive their valuable insights and experiences, said a press release.

ICE Center of DU has launched its weekly CMSMEs Mentorship Program under the REVIVE Project, in partnership with UNDP Bangladesh with an aim to provide mentorship on much-needed topics like – finance, governance, mental health, marketing, and supply chain.

The target is to reach out to as many CMSMEs as possible during October to December 2020, through 4 weekly sessions on every week during these three months using online platforms.

The program aims to create a thriving community for the CMSMEs so the efforts of these unsung heroes do not go unnoticed.

Former Governor of Bangladesh Bank Dr. Atiur Rahman graced the occasion as chief guest while Chairperson of Small & Medium Enterprises Foundation (SMEF) Dr. Md. Masudur Rahman, President of Dhaka Chamber of Commerce & Industry (DCCI) Shams Mahmud and Chairman (Additional Secretary) of Bangladesh Small & Cottage Industries Corporation (BSCIC) Md Mostaque Hassan were present as special guests.

Vice Chairman of ICE Centre. Dr. Khandoker Bazlul Haque also Supernumerary Professor of DU International Business department presided over the session while executive Director of ICE Center and Associate Professor of DU Strategy and Leadership department Md Rashedur Rahman moderated the discussion.
