CHATTOGRAM, Oct 2, 2020 (BSS) – A total of 90 people were detected positive for Coronavirus in the last 24 hours after testing 1085 samples in five Covid-19 laboratories in district.
Among the newly detected patients, 80 are from Chattogram city and 10 from different upazilas of the district, hospital sources said.
The total number of infected patients now stands at 18849 in the district, Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, civil surgeon of Chattogram, told BSS today.
Among the total 18949 coronavirus infected persons, 13482 are the residents of the port city and the rest 5458 are residents of different upazilas of the district.
Besides, 1,257 are undergoing treatment at isolation units of different hospitals in the port city as 14,802 have recovered and 287 died while the rest 2,603 are undergoing treatment in isolation at their respective homes in the city and district, Dr Fazle Rabbi said. Besides,
“The percentage of recovery rate stands at 78.56 percent in the district,” Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi, added.
