DHAKA, Sept 16, 2020 (BSS) – National Education Day will be observed across the country tomorrow.
On this day in 1962, the students’ community of the then East Pakistan called hartal demanding cancellation of “Hamidur Rahman Shikkha Commission” report.
Babul, Golam Mustafa and Waziullah were shot dead by Pakistani police during the hartal.
Different cultural, social and student organisations including Bangladesh Chhatra League (BCL) chalked out programmes marking the day.
BCL leaders and workers are expected to place wreathes at Shikkha Adhikar Chattar in the morning and Chhatra Parishad would also pay homage on that time.
