Meeting of law and order held in Khulna

KHULNA, Sept 13, 2020 (BSS)- Khulna District Administration today sought all-out cooperation from citizen to combat all sorts of crimes specially cybernetic crimes, cheating and abuse of drugs and its trafficking.

Joint efforts of law enforcement agencies and people could be the effective means of building a crime-free society which is very important.

The observations came at the monthly law and order meeting today held at the deputy commissioner’s (DC) conference room with DC Md Helal Hossain in the chair.

The meeting reviewed over all law and order situation and took decisions to control illegal drugs in order to save our young generation from its abuse.

The meeting asked official concerned to protect children-friendly environment through proper management at government children institution.

It also stressed for setting up close circuit cameras at kitchen markets in both city and upazilas to combat crimes specially extortion.

“There is no alternative to create mass awareness to prevent social crimes and abuse of drugs,” the DC said.

High officials of city and district Police stressed on the need of mass awareness to combat all sorts of social and cybernetic crimes.

Additional deputy magistrate (ADM) Md Yusuf Ali, Khulna Civil surgeon Dr Sujat Ahmed, KMP deputy commissioner S M Shakiluzzaman, additional police super (South) G M Abul Kalam Azad, deputy principal officer of Khulna PID M Javed Iqbal, UNOs and upazila chairmen, among others, attended the meeting.
