TK 346.30 crore budget okayed for CU
CHATTOGRAM, Sept 13, 2020 (BSS) – The senate of Chattogram University (CU) today approved TK 346.30 crore budget of the university for 2020-2021 fiscal year.
The senate, highest policy making body of the university, approved the budget at its 32nd senate meeting held at Vice-Chancellor’s auditorium at A R Mallik Bhaban on the campus.
With the vice-chancellor Prof. Dr Shirin Akther in the chair, CU acting registrar Professor SM Monirul Hasan placed the budget in the meeting.
Of the total budget, TK 329.80 crore will come from University Grants Commission (UGC) as government grant while TK 16.50 crore will come from internal resources and TK 5.5 crore was shown as deficit budget.
Of the budget, the expenditure including, TK 222.20 crore will be spent for salary and other allowances for the teachers and employees, TK 4.20 crore for research works, CU acting registrar Professor SM Monirul Hasan said.
Director General of Bangla Academy Habib Ullah Siraji, Members of Parliament Washika Ayesha Khan, deans of different faculties, among others, took part in the meeting.
