JaPa announces candidates for Dhaka-5, Naogaon-6 by-polls
DHAKA, Sept 12, 2020 (BSS) – Jatiya Party (JaPa) today announced the names of its candidates for Dhaka-5 and Naogaon-6 by-elections slated for October 1.
Party’s chairman GM Quader announced the candidates’ names at a meeting of its nomination board here after taking interviews of the aspirants.
JaPa nominated Mir Abdus Sabur Asud for Dhaka-5 and picked Kazi Golam Kabir for Naogaon-6.
GM Quader said JaPa candidates will remain in the race of all the by-elections, urging the party leaders and workers to motivate people to vote for JaPa candidates in the by-polls.
The nomination board interviewed aspirants at the JaPa chairman’s Banani office in the capital this afternoon.
Chaired by GM Quader, the meeting was attended by nomination board members – JaPa co-chairman ABM Ruhul Amin Hawlader and Syed Abu Hossain Babla.
By-polls to Dhaka-5 and Naogaon-6 parliamentary constituencies are scheduled to be held on October 1 next.
