DHAKA, Sept 9, 2020 (BSS) – Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina today told the Jatiya Sangsad that she starts her day with offering the Fazr prayer followed by recitation from the holy Quran.
“I first look for jainamaj to offer Fazr prayers after getting up (from the sleep). Then I recite the holy Quran. I take a cup of tea or coffee after making it on my own or with the help of the person who wakes up first (from sleep) among my younger sister or my daughter Putul (Saima Wazed Hossain Putul) ,” she said.
She told this while replying to a query from Jatiya Party MP Fakhrul Imam on what the prime minister first looks for after getting up from sleep every morning.
She later goes for morning walk for a while and sits beside the Ganabhaban Lake with a fishing rod to catch fish.
The Prime Minister said they behave well and show respect to even the domestic helps, car drivers and rickshaw-pullers as they have got the lesson from their family, particularly from their father.
Sheikh Hasina said they have been taught to call driver of the vehicle as driver saheb or not to treat the domestic helps as servants or not to give them any order rather to seek assistance from them showing respect.
“That’s why despite being a prime minister, I still seek anything from the housemaids in a way like ‘could you give me this’. In most of the cases I personally do that,” she continued.
She said they abide by the lessons her father (Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman) taught them.
In this regard, the premier said that all people are getting equal behaviour from them.
They never ignore the people who are poor or wearing lower quality dresses, she said adding, “We rather take more care of those who have nothing.”
