RAB arrests 7 for embezzling Tk 50 crore

DHAKA, Sept 07, 2020 (BSS) – Rapid Action Battalion(RAB) in a drive in capital’s Wari area arrested seven people, including owners of three unapproved companies, for their alleged involvement in embezzlement of Taka 50 crore from 40 thousand customers in different times.

The well-organized gang cheating the people in different times setting up ‘A-One Health Care’ and ‘A-One Bazar Limited’ and ‘Multi-Level Marketing (LLM)’ companies without approval of the authorities concerned, said a spokesman of RAB-3 told BSS.

The detainees were identified as managing director (MD) Md Nurul Islam, 42, director (finance) Md Ferdous Khan, director (administration) Md Razaul Karim Mintu , 56, director human resources (HRD) M Abul Kalam Azad, director Asadullah Dewan,46, director Md Abdus Sattar , 37 and Md Jahangir Alam, 50.

A legal action is underway in this connection, he added.
