38 Liberation War Affairs Ministry services digitized

DHAKA, August 27, 2020 (BSS) – Digitization of 38 services of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs as part of the rapid digitization activities under the government’s ‘MyGov’ platform was inaugurated.

Minister for Liberation War Affairs AKM Mozammel Haque MP and State Minister for Information and Communication Technology (ICT) Junaid Ahmed Palak MP, jointly inaugurated the services at the conference hall of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, said a release issued here.

By launching the digitized services, the service recipients of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs will be able to be include in the Gazette, receive freedom fighter honorarium, revise the information of freedom fighter certificate, apply for any services related to payment, service progress, submission of required documents and other related activities through 5 access points.

The access points are- MyGov Web, MyGov App, 333, Union Digital Center and the Liberation War Affairs Ministry website, said the release.

In the digital advancement of the whole of Bangladesh, the transformed digital service is a landmark milestone.

This will save time and money of both the service recipient and provider.

“We are happy that the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs has been honored to start its activities as the first ministry on the My Gov platform. We are now reaping the benefits of the dream of Digital Bangladesh dreamed by Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and Prime Minister’s ICT Adviser Sajeeb Wazed Joy in 2008,”, AKM Mozammel Haque said,

The Minister also thanked the Department of Information and Communication Technology and all concerned for this successful initiative.

State Minister for Information and Communication Technology Junaid Ahmed Palak, MP, emphasized on technology everywhere, saying that if the use of technology increases, corruption will be eliminated and the quality of service will increase.

In addition to the conventional digitization aimed at implementing the government’s Vision-2021, the ICT department’s A2I program has already created existing systems such as: identity, e-document, ekseba, BNDA, EKPE, etc.

In just one month, 38 services of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs have been converted into digital services without creating any new software through MyGov.

It is possible to transform the services of various government organizations into digital services rapidly through a central platform providing digital services called ‘MyGov’, added the release.

The Aspire to Innovate (A2I) program, implemented by the Department of Information and Communication Technology and the Cabinet Division and supported by UNDP, has launched the ‘MyGov’ platform to bring all kinds of services to the doorsteps of the people, which was inaugurated by the Hon’ble Prime Minister in early 2020.

Mohammad Arfe Elahi, Chief Technology Officer, A2I, presented the keynote address on ‘Rapid Digitization Activities under MIGV at the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs’.

Senior Secretary of the ICT Department NM Ziaul Alam, was virtually present as a special guest at the inaugural function.

Liberation War Affairs Secretary Tapan Kanti Ghosh, Project Director (Additional Secretary) of A2I Dr Md Abdul Mannan, Joint Project Director of A2I and Joint Secretary (e-Governance) of the Cabinet Dewan Muhammad Humayun Kabir, Liberation War Affairs Joint Secretary Dewan Md Abdus Samad, Policy Adviser of A2I Aneer Chowdhury along with senior officials of the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs, Department of Information and Communication Technology, A2I were present, at the ceremony.
