DSCC conducts combing operation to eliminate Aedes mosquito
DHAKA, Aug 23, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) today conducted combing operation at different parts of the capital to destroy the breeding grounds of Aedes mosquitoes.
During the drive, executive magistrates of the DSCC inspected a total of 88 establishments and filed around eight cases and realised Tk1.22 lakh as fines for having Aedes breeding grounds at houses and establishments.
The three mobile courts conducted drives in city’s Dhanmondi (zone-1), Basabo (zone-2) and Hazaribagh (zone-3) areas.
The mobile court inspected 37 establishments in zone-1.
Executive Magistrate Mohammad Kazi Faisal filed five cases and realised Tk 101,500 as Aedes mosquito breeding grounds were found at five establishments.
The mobile court inspected 6 infrastructures in zone-2. During the drive, Aedes mosquito breeding grounds were found at three establishments and the mobile court fined them Tk 10,000.
The mobile court visited 45 establishments in Zone-3. At that time, the mobile court found Aedes mosquito breeding grounds at 9 establishments.
The mobile court fined the house owner Tk 11,000.
