DHAKA, Aug 15, 2020 (BSS)- Liberation War Affairs Minister AKM Mozammel Haque today said a commission would be formed to unmask the real masterminds of the assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family members on August 15, 1975.
“Although the direct participants in the assassination of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman and most of his family members were tried but the masterminds remained out of reach and they too should be unmasked. A commission would be formed for this purpose,” he said.
He said this while addressing a discussion meeting followed by a doa-mahfil organized by the Ministry of Liberation War Affairs on the occasion of the 45th martyrdom anniversary of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman at the secretariat here.
Later, prayers were offered seeking eternal peace of the departed souls of Bangabandhu and most of his family members.
Earlier, the minister laid a wreath at the portrait of Bangabandhu in front of the ‘Sarkari Paribahan Pool Bhaban’ in the city.
