Quader said 97 persons were killed in the name of Operation Clean Heart between 2002 and 2003 January during the regime of those, who are now talking about killings and disappearances.
Talks of human rights do not go with those who imposed Indemnity Act to save the killers of Father of the Nation Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, he said, adding killings and terrorism based politics is the tradition of BNP which maintains intimacy with killers and approves killings.
BNP is now talking about corruption but both the words BNP and corruption are now quite synonyms, he added.
The minister said every inch of soil of Bangladesh is sacred with the bloods of thousands of martyrs in the Liberation War under the leadership of Bangabandhu and now his able daughter Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina is filling every inch of soil with the products of development.
Quader said perpetrators of August 15 carnage and August 21 grenade attacks still remain active as they are out to hatch their blue print against the country’s development.
He said the massacre of August 15 is the most brutal political assassination in the history as no other killing saw murders of innocent child and expecting mother.
“Bangabandhu’s daughters Sheikh Hasina and Sheikh Rehana escaped the deaths as they were staying abroad. As they got escaped on that day, the killers of Bangabandhu have been brought to justice . . . the trial of war criminals took place and the country freed from stigma,” he added.
The AL general secretary said the plots of August 15 carnage and grenade attacks on AL really targeting to kill Bangabandhu’s daughter the then Opposition Leader Sheikh Hasina on August 21 in 2004 are interwoven.
Bangabandhu was the prime target of August 15 carnage while his daughter Sheikh Hasina was key target of August 21 grenade attacks, he added.
Pointing to BNP, Quader said now BNP’s key weapon is to spread falsehood on media staying in Dhaka, spread hatred of negativity and rumors.
He said Sheikh Hasina did not see the party identity while bringing wrongdoers to justice as she considered offenders as just offenders.
The premier has proven that party identity cannot be shield in making any wrongdoing so that the party men are not getting spared after committing misdeeds, he added.
