CCC administrator announces tough stance against corruption and irregularities

CHATTOGRAM, Aug 13, 2020 (BSS)- Administrator of Chattogram City Corporation (CCC) Khorshed Alam Sujan said that CCC will take a tough stance against corruption and irregularities.

At the same time, he instructed the concern officials to evict the illegal establishments in Chattogram city and recover the property of CCC from the illegal occupaier.

He made the announcement at a meeting with CCC Revenue Department officials at the conference room of CCC temporary office at Tiger Pass in the city on Thursday (August 13th).

Expressing dissatisfaction over the revenue collection of the current financial year, the CCC administrator directed to collect the highest revenue within the next one month and evict all illegal establishments in port city.

Khorshed Alam Sujan said that the revenue sector of CCC is our main driving force of development. “From here all the activities of CCC are conducted. Therefore, the administrator advised the employees working in the revenue department to motivate the city dwellers to pay holding tax,” he added.

Terming the financial stability of CCC depends on revenue officials Sujan said that the role of the employees in the revenue department is immense to strengthen the revenue related sectors of CCC including arrears of holding tax, trade license.

Among the revenue collectors, those who meet their targets and contribute to income generating activities will be rewarded by CCC, he added. The administrator instructed to take measures to display the revenue unpaid holding numbers in their respective areas, he added.
