Palak urges students to createingenious ideas to build digital Bangladesh

DHAKA, Aug 12, 2020 (BSS) –State Minister for Information and Communication Technology(ICT) Division Zunaid Ahmed Palak urged university students to come forward with creative and innovative ideas for building Digital Bangladesh.

He also emphasised the need for joint venture of industry and academia to meet the challenges of the fourth industrial revolution.

The state minister was virtually speaking asthe chief guest at the Bangladesh University of Business and Technology’s (BUBT) freshers’ orientation programme for the students enrolledin Summer 2020 Semester” today.

Palak said under the dynamic leadership of Prime Minister Sheikh Hasina and the supervision of ICT advisor Sajeeb Wazed Joy, a total of 28 high-tech parks and 64 Sheikh Kamal IT incubation centres are being set up across the country to ensure education and technology-based employment in the country.

Five high-tech parks have already started their operations, he added.

Among others, BUBT Vice-Chancellor Prof. Md. Fayyaz Khan, BUBT Trust Chairman Prof. Shafiq Ahmed Siddique, member of the trust Prof. Mohammad Abu Saleh, and Dean of the Faculty of Arts Prof. Syed Anwarul Haque were present at the programme.
