Former municipality councillor dies of COVID in C’nawabganj
CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Aug.8, 2020 (BSS)-Md. Aktar Kabir alias Tobu Biswas,
former councillor of Chapainawabganj municipality died of COVID-19 this afternoon raising the total number of deaths in the district to nine.
He was 62.
Civil Surgeon (CS) of Chapainawabganj Dr. Jahid Nazrul Chowdhury confirmed this.
He was also the life member of Chapainawabganj Diabetic Samity.
Tobu Biswas was tested positive for COVID-19 and was admitted to the Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital before Eid ul Azha, the CS said.
As his condition deteriorated, he was referred to the Rajshahi Mefical College Hospital at around 2-30 pm today. He died on the way, the CS added.
He said a total of 519 persons were tested positive for COVID-19 in the district and 15 patients are undergoing treatment in Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital.
