Messages of Fazilatunnesa Mujib’s sacrifice must be spread: Murad
JAMALPUR, Aug 7, 2020 (BSS) – State Minister for Information Dr Murad Hasan today said the messages of the sacrifice and patriotism of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib, wife of Father of the Nation Sheikh Mujibur Rahman, must be spread among the new generation.
He said Bangamata not only had encouraged and inspired Bangabandhu by staying beside him, but she served the country’s people with all her heart and soul.
Murad made the remarks while speaking at a function at his Sarishabari residence in Jamalpur, a handout said.
At this function, he distributed 20 wheelchairs and 10 sewing machines among the persons with disabilities and 56 tubewells among locals, marking the 90th birth anniversary of Bangamata Sheikh Fazilatunnesa Mujib.
The state minister urged local affluent people to stand by the poor and destitute people amid the ongoing coronavirus pandemic and flooding.
Local Awami League leaders, among others, were present at the function.
