CHAPAINAWABGANJ, Aug 3, 2020 (BSS) – A primary schoolteacher was killed in a road accident in Chapainawabganj central bus terminal area here this morning.
The deceased was identified as Md. Golam Sarwar Kawnain, 60, of Swarupnagar in Chapainawabganj town. He was the headmaster of Chapainawabganj Municipality Government Primary School.
Police and eye witnesses said the accident occurred around 8.30 am when a bus hit Sarwar’s motorcycle in the area, leaving him seriously injured.
He was rushed to the Chapainawabganj Sadar Hospital where the on-duty doctor declared him dead.
Officer-in-charge (OC) of Chapainawabganj Sadar Police Station Md. Mozaffar Hossain confirmed this saying that the driver fled away but police detained the bus.
