DHAKA, July 30, 2020 (BSS) – The government has suspended temporarily an upazila engineer and an assistant engineer in Patuakhali and Munshiganj districts respectively for their alleged irregularities in project works while Munshiganj executive engineer will face divisional case for negligence in work monitoring.
Md Sultan Hossain, who is currently on charge of engineer of Baufal upazila in Patuakhali district and Md Saddam Hossain, assistant engineer of Tangibari upazila under Munshiganj district have been suspended temporarily while persons concerned have been asked to lodge divisional case against Munshiganj district executive engineer Md Rafiqul Islam.
Local Government Division (LGD) issued separate notifications to this end, said a press release adding that the move was taken as per the charges made them by a team of high-powered engineers to reevaluate and inspect the countrywide project works under the division.
As part of the inspection, charges were made for below standard construction works at Shreenagar Government Primary School under Mirzaganj upazila in Patuakhali and rural road repairing or maintenance works at Tangibari upazila in Munshiganj.
