DHAKA, July 27, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka South City Corporation (DSCC) Mayor Barrister Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh said mobile courts will remain vigilant in the capital’s cattle markets from tomorrow in order to maintain health rules.

He said this while speaking as the chief guest at a fries releasing ceremony at Dhanmondi Lake in the capital this afternoon on the occasion of National Fisheries Week-2020.

The mayor said the DSCC would be strict in complying with health and other conditions in the cattle markets.
“Considering the eight parliamentary seats in the DSCC area, we have leased 11 cattle markets at 11 places,” he added.

He also said a meeting was held to manage all the cattle markets properly and people concerned been given strict instructions to abide by the terms and conditions.

Taposh said many people are already expanding cattle markets outside the leased area, which is not desirable.

No markets will be allowed in the city corporation area without lease.

Among others, Director General of Fisheries Department Kazi Shams Afroz, Chief Health Officer of DSCC Brigadier General Dr. Sharif Ahmed, Chief Engineer Md. Rezaur Rahman, Councillor of Ward No. 15 Rafiqul Islam Babla and Councillor of reserved women’s seat Shirin Gaffari were present.
