CHATTOGRAM, July 27, 2020 (BSS) – For the third consecutive day in a row, the number of corona attacks and deaths in Chattogram has gradually decreased.
A total of 169 people were detected with Covid-19 in Chattogram after testing 1076 samples in the last 24 hours, 70 people yesterday and 126 people detected on Saturday. In those three days, the number of identified patients remained below two hundred in three consecutive days.
No people died in the last 24 hours, one passed away yesterday while none died on Saturday.
Both the number of infections and deaths were comparatively lower than on other days before Friday, hospital sources said.
Civil Surgeon Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi said that according to the report from the labs in Chattogram on Monday, a total of 169 people were detected positive with coronavirus in the last 24 hours after testing 1076 samples at seven COVID-19 laboratories in Chattogram district.
Among the newly detected patients 119 are from Chattogram city and 50 from different upazilas of the district, hospital sources said.
Dr Rabbi said a total of 70 people tested positive yesterday and 126 people detected on Saturday. In those three days, the number of identities remained below two hundred.
The total number of infected patients now stands at 13,908 in Chattogram district, Dr Sheikh Fazle Rabbi added.
“A total of 1972 coronavirus patients have recovered till date and the percentage of recovery rate stands at 14.10 percent in the district,” Dr Rabbi said.
Among the total infected patients, 9679 are from Chattogram city and 4189 from different upazilas of the district, hospital sources said.
