Fire at commercial building in city under control
DHAKA, July 24, 2020 (BSS) – A fire that broke out at a seven-storied commercial building on Gausul Azam Avenue in city’s Uttara this afternoon is now under control as five units of fire service have rushed to the scene and doused the flame.
“A fire broke out at the sixth floor of the multi-storied building around 2:40 pm. Five units of Fire Service and Civil Defence rushed to the spot and doused the fire with the help of police around 4:55 pm,” Fire Service and Civil Defence Station Officer (Uttara) Mohammad Hanif told BSS.
The cause behind the fire is yet to be ascertained.
However, no causality has been reported so far, he added.
