Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division secretary Naren Das passes away
DHAKA, July 21, 2020 (BSS) – Legislative and Parliamentary Affairs Division secretary Naren Das died of coronavirus (COVID-19) at Bangabandhu Sheikh Mujib Medical University (BSMMU) Hospital at 7.15pm today.
Naren Das along with his wife was admitted to the hospital on July 5 as both of them were suffering from fever and breathing problems. Both of them tested positive for Covid-19 on July 7 and were undergoing treatment at the hospital, a press release said.
Law, Justice and Parliamentary Affairs Minister Anisul Huq expressed profound shock and sorrow at the death of Naren Das.
The minister prayed for salvation of the departed soul and conveyed his sympathy to the bereaved family members.
Law and Justice Division Secretary Md Golam Sarwar also expressed deep sorrow at the death of Naren Das, added the release.
