DHAKA, July 18, 2020 (BSS) – Dhaka South City Corporation Mayor
Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh has been sending fruit baskets to the houses
of corona patients’ in city’s Wari lockdown area.
Taposh is sending those fruit baskets as a token of friendliness to
boost morale of the patients and let them know that they are not alone
in this fight.
Following the health guidelines of IEDCR, lockdown was enforced in
parts of old Dhaka’s Wari from July 4 for 21 days. At present there
are around 77 covid-19 infected patients in the area, said a press
release.
Of them, today 30 patients received fruit baskets through
volunteers and rest of the patients would get by tomorrow.
Ward councilor Sarwar Hossain Alo is supervision the fruits
distribution. The fruit baskets contain pineapple, malta, grapefruit,
guava, lemon, mango, amla and hog plum.
