RAB-ARREST-ROBBERS
12 muggers held in city
DHAKA, July 17, 2020 (BSS)- Members of Rapid Action Battalion (RAB), in separate
drives, arrested 12 muggers, including members of ‘Molom Party’, from different
parts of the city in last 24-hours. On Thursday evening, a team of RAB-2 got
secret information that 7 or 8 muggers of ‘Molom Party’ were staying in Arjat Para
adjacent to Mohakhali Rail Crossing area under Tejgaon Police Station, according
to RAB sources.
Later, RAB members conducted a raid in that area at around 6.45 pm Thursday and
arrested Rubel,26, Ujjal alias Shukur 26, Saddam Hossain ,28, Jalil 40, Rana
Sheikh,32 and Billal Hossain,27.
During this time, anesthetic drugs, ointments and mobile phones were seized from
them.
Besides, on the basis of secret information, a team of RAB-2 also arrested a
group of robbers with domestic arms from in front of the National Institute of
Ophthalmology and Hospital under Sher-e-Bangla Nagar Police Station here on
Thursday.
The detainees are: Sagar Sardar ,23, Sumon ,21, Hashem ,33, Hossain Milon ,32,
Sujan ,35 and Khokon ,22.
