SUNAMGANJ, July 11, 2020 (BSS) – Planning Minister MA Mannan has
donated some 41 decimal of his own land (paternal property) to the
government.
On that land, Azizunnesa Textile Vocational Institute, named after
the mother of planning minister, will be set up for the welfare of
women folk especially for the rural women.
The planning minister registered this land against the Textiles and
Jute Ministry Secretary. The document of this land was handed over to
Deputy Commissioner Mohammad Abdul Ahad on July 9.
“This land is my father’s land and my emotion is attached to
it………the concerned authority has named this institute after my
mother to revive her memory,” said Mannan.
He informed that this institute would facilitate the poor, helpless
and widowed women as they would be able to take training on computer,
boutique and sewing.
After receiving the document of this land, Deputy Commissioner
Mohammad Abdul Ahad said, “I feel proud as being a witness of this
noble act. I received this document of land on behalf of the Secretary
of the Ministry of Textiles and Jute”.
