Booters for starting new season of football

DHAKA, July 11, 2020 (BSS) – The senior booters of the thirteen
participating clubs of Bangladesh Premier League (BPL) today urged the
Bangladesh Football Federation (BFF) to start the new season of
football as soon as possible.

They made the urge as they met with the BFF president Kazi Mohammad
Salahuddin today at the conference room of BFF. BFF vice president and
national team’s committee’s chairman Kazi Nabil Ahmed, vice president
Tabith Awal and BFF general secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag, twenty seven
booters of thirteen clubs of Bangladesh Premier League were present in
the meeting.

“We had discussion with the players …. they placed their demands
in the meeting and urged the BFF to start the new season of football
as early as possible, BFF general Secretary Abu Nayeem Shohag told
BSS.

“We’ll have a meeting with the national teams committees on Thursday
(July 16) and all will be informed after the meeting,” he added.

The country’s domestic sports activities remained stopped since
March due to the coronavirus pandemic.

Earlier, the national booters sat with the BFF boss twice on the
same issue and had a verbal discussion.

In the first meeting, the players had a verbal discussion with
Salahuddin about future of the domestic football and recounting
between the players and BPL clubs.

In the second meeting, the BFF president advised the booters how to
keep them fit during the coronavirus situation.
